Delhi - Dalhousie - Dharamshala - BIR - Delhi

Day 1: Delhi – Dalhousie (590kms/ 14hr)
Pickup from Delhi Railway station / Airport, drive to Dalhousie. Built around five hills Dalhousie is clothed in stately groves of deodar and oak. Its marvelous forests trails overlook vistas of wooded hills, waterfalls, spring and rivulets. Dalhousie still has a touch of the “Raj” and its colonial style building and houses bring back the flavors of an earlier era. Overnight stay at the Hotel.
Day 2: Dalhousie
After Breakfast move for local sightseeing in Dalhousie. Dalhousie has charming colonial architecture, including some beautiful churches. Its location presents panoramic views of the plains- and like a long silver line, the river Ravi twists and turns below Dalhousie. The spectacular snow-covered Dhauladhar mountains are also visible from this enchanting town. Overnight stay at Hotel.
Day 3: Dalhousie – Khajjiar – Chamba – Dalhousie (50 Km one way)
After breakfast we proceed for excursion of Khajjiar & Chamba. Often called India's Switzerland, the exquisite glade of Khajjiar (1960m) has a circumference of about 5 km. Khajjiar was probably a glacial bowl formed during the last Himalayan ice age and left with a lake that gradually withered away. Khajjiar is part of the notified Kalatop – Khajjiar sanctuary. We further proceed to Chamba. Chamba town (915m) stands on the right bank of the river Ravi. It is well known for its splendid architecture and as the base for numerous excursions. It is also a district Headquarters. Drive back to Dalhousie. Overnight stay at the Hotel.
Day 4: Dalhousie – Dharmshala (150kms / 5 hrs)
After breakfast drive to Dharmshala. Dharamshala has everything for a perfect holiday. It is full of life and yet peaceful. Covering a wide area in the form of twin settlement, Lower Dharmshala (1380m) is a busy commercial centre. While upper Dharamshala (1830m) with the suburbs of Mcleodganj and Forsytheganj, retains a British flavour & colonial Lifestyle. Overnight stay at Hotel.
Day 5: Dharmshala
After breakfast move out for local sightseeing. Mcleodganj is a famous little town of Dharmshala also known as “Little Tibet” H. H. The Dalai Lama resides here. At the start of Mcleodganj is a small bazaar filled with variety of Tibetan handicrafts and artifacts. At the end of the spur lies the Namgyal Monastery. A valokteshwara and Padamsambhava and walls lined with Thankas. The charming church of St. John in the wilderness is situated here and this is the final resting place of Lord Elgin, a British Viceroy of India during the 19th century. Numerous ancient temples like Jwalamukhi, Brijeshwari and Chamunda lie on the plains below Dharmshala. Day at Leisure. Overnight stay at Hotel.
Day 6: Dharmshala – Bir (63 KM)
After breakfast drive to Bir. Bir – Billing valley is paradise for Para gliders. After lunch you can take an optional ride for short flights. Dinner with Bonfire. Overnight stay at Camp.
Day 7: Bir
Early morning after breakfast go for excursion to monasteries. Bir Tibetan community famous for being the location for the film ‘The Cup’. Four large monasteries and a recently built Buddhist college can be found here. After lunch visit to famous pottery in Andretta. Sobha Singh (famous painter from Punjab) Art gallery in Palampur. Enjoy Toy Safari for 30-35 Min. in evening. Overnight stay at Hotel.
Day 8: Bir – Delhi (460kms/12 hr)
After Breakfast to Delhi. On Delhi drop Railway Station/ Airport
